Towards raising public awareness on issues related to breastfeeding, the World Breastfeeding Week Celebration was held. With the theme "Prioritising Breastfeeding: Creating a Sustainable Support System", it was held at Suri Seri Begawan Hospital, Kuala Belait, 6th August morning.

Present was Doctor Hajah Lailawati binti Haji Jumat, Acting Director-General of Medical and Health, Ministry of Health. The event included forums under the Breastfeeding Programme and a mini exhibition. The celebration will be held until 7th August, from 9 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon and is open to the public.
